BC Regional Chief Shane Gottfriedson Congratulates Re-Elected First Nations Summit Task Group and Co-Chairs

(Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc Territory/Kamloops – June 10, 2016) – On June 9th, the First Nations Summit election took place, Grand Chief Edward John, Cheryl Casimer, Robert Phillips and Leah George-Wilson and Ray Harris were reelected to the First Nations Summit Task Group and Co-chairs. Chiefs and leaders met today at the First Nations Summit meeting and re-elected the incumbents on the first ballot cast. The First Nations Summit represents BC First Nations that are involved in the Treaty negotiations and provides a forum to address issues related to Treaty negotiations.
